Dr. Khoo Yee Xuen

Background

Dr Khoo Yee Xuen is a General Practitioner who aspires to deliver patient-centred care. She focuses on internal and external wellbeing for both men and women, prioritising patient education and informed decision in a non-judgmental and personal manner.

Dr Khoo obtained her Bachelor of Medicine (BM) and Bachelor of Medical Science (Bmedsci) from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom in 2012. Dr Khoo worked with the National Health Services (NHS) UK before returning to Singapore for medical training.

Over her years in Singapore, she has rotated through various departments including Dermatology, Rheumatology & Allergy, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Primary Care Medicine and Health-Screening.

Areas of interest

Dr Khoo has a keen interest in Dermatology and allergies. She holds a distinction for Postgraduate Study (PgDip) and Master (Msc) in Practical Dermatology conferred by the University of Cardiff, United Kingdom. Furthermore, she has valid certificates of competency by the Dermatological Society of Singapore in areas covering dermal fillers, intense pulse light therapy, botulinum toxin injections, laser hair removal and chemical peel.

As a trainee doctor in Tan Tock Seng Hospital for Rheumatology and Allergy posting, Dr Khoo saw first-hand the relationship between allergy and skin, which spurred her subsequent training within Dermatology departments across Singapore including the National Skin Centre, Singapore General Hospital, Changi General Hospital, and Department of Sexually Transmitted Infections Control (DSC).

In joining Dr Ben Medical, Dr Khoo wishes to harness her wide range of experience and provide holistic healthcare to men and women - whatever their general health, sexual health or dermatology needs may be.
